Astrology and Complementry Signs
Astrology has a concept of opposites signs. These are signs that are 180 degrees across the chart from each other. The word opposite may bring up an inaccurate understanding. Its not opposite in the sense that fire & water are opposites but more of a complement to each other. They share a core value but have different ways to express it or a different realm for the value. I’ve used the major arcana in this example but we can look at the court cards in the same way.

Here is a way this can be used in a reading. If a card looks like it represents a difficulty, you could look to its complement for a way to balance the approach or a better way to deal with it. The card could be identify as difficult in many different ways. Here are a few examples: Positional Meaning, Reversals, Elemental Dignities, Gut Feel.
